Do you have burning questions about the climate crisis and the creativity and persistence to find answers?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Climate Home News has an exciting opportunity for an aspiring climate journalist in the UK to join our editorial team this summer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our mission is to deliver original reporting that informs and inspires action to tackle the climate crisis, with an international outlook.<\/span><\/p>\n

To sustain this work for the long haul, we want to invest in the next generation of talent.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why we are inviting applications for a paid internship. The successful candidate will get the UK living wage of \u00a39.50 an hour and join our virtual newsroom for four weeks. We will cover reasonable travel expenses to meet the team in person, subject to Covid restrictions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The internship would suit an enterprising journalism student or recent graduate with a strong interest in the political, social and economic dimensions of the climate crisis.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The successful candidate will take part in daily online news meetings, pitch story ideas and develop them under the guidance of our experienced reporters. You may be assigned tasks to support other members of the team such as research, fact checking or interviewing sources.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can expect to get bylines on Climate Home News and advance skills that will set you up for a successful career in journalism. One former intern for Climate Home News went on to work for the BBC World Service. Another journalist who started her career here founded the environmental news platform Inkcap.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For practical reasons, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK<\/strong>. We welcome candidates from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the media.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
